I have yet to pump - managed to sterilize the pump first (and my mother, who was in town also washed the parts that they tell you NOT to wash - she didn't believe me, apparently). So, a question - the pump comes with containers. Do you pump into said containers, store, and then put a nipple on THOSE containers or do you transfer the milk from the containers to bottles with nipples once it is needed? I recognize that this may be a really silly question and the answer is obvious - but we're running on practically no sleep here people.

I pour the milk from the bottles into disposable plastic bags made for breast milk storage. I found them in the baby aisle at the supermarket. They supposedly don't have BPA in them and they are the right size for a feeding.
Anyway, I then store the milk in the freezer. When I need it, I thaw it in the fridge and then pour it into a different bottle than the ones that came with the breast pump. That way, I can choose the type of bottle and nipple that my baby likes best.
If I'm going to freeze the milk I buy the storage bags that you can pump directly into. If I am going to put it in the fridge I pump into a container and pour into a bottle later.
I too pour the milk from a bottle on my pump (well, make that past tense, I no longer have the pump and barely even am BFing anymore since my kid is almost ONE...EGADS!) into the disposable plastic baggies. I labeled and froze those, then poured them into the bottle from the bags (frozen in bottle amounts).
i pump into plastic containers transffer to glass (born free). i don't freeze-some vitaimins are lost, unless i get too much in fridge. look at LLL for hoe long bm lasts in fridge, room temp ad freezing. remember not to microwave, it can create hot spots in bmilk.
i haven't read in awhile-
i would tell photography peeps to not let the door hit them in the arse on the way out. you would DIE if you went without pumping. you would likely leak, it would be painful and it would decrease supply. you'll be working soon enough and you need your energy and time with baby.
re:crying--
the only time cate is unconsable (i learned when she was EIGHT WEEKS) was because she was freezing. she felt warm and i was dressing her like i dress me, but apparently i am an adult and she is 150 lbs lighter. i know, duh. so pedi told me to put her in a onsie, tights and then and only then dress her the same amount as me. it makes all the difference in teh world.
you problaly have figured that out, me not so mcuh. but maybe that's it? for her to be cozy in the house, that is warm enough-i am almost close to sweating.also, when they are that little they can get themselves so tired that they literally can't muster up the energy to nurse, nursing is hard work for them. we supplemented with bottledbmilk and cate got a lot happier and slept more. my pedi who is pro bfeeding all the way suggested it...she said that babies that little aren't rocket scientists they can't tell the difference. and even if they can, wait until they get older and plump-3 months and then only offer boob. they wont starve. i hope this helps, i know you must be desperate.
re:cloth diapers-do you have your own washer or do you have to go to laundry mat? let me tell you, if we didn't have washer and dryer in our house, no way would we use cloth!
i hope things are settling down.
Pump into those bottles, slap a nipple on and be done with it. If you're a slacker mom, like me, you don't even bother to warm the stuff up.
I never had enough to freeze, so I was only a couple of feeds ahead of the kid.
